Rohill is a Dutch manufacturer of mission-critical TETRA communication infrastructure and control room applications with global presence and over 40 years experience. Rohill supplies leading-edge hardware and software products and is known for its successes with communication systems for the military, public safety, public transport and airports, where tailor-made solutions are a must. The Rohill TetraNode system architecture uses Software Defined Radio (SDR), pure soft switching technology and integration with LTE networks.

As Software Engineer you are part of our R&D department, involved in the development of soft switch applications based on the Linux operating system and C++ programming language. Using the Agile- Scrum method, you work on developing and testing of new functionalities, as well as on expanding and maintaining the soft switching core and interfaces to TETRA/LTE base stations, control room systems and telephony networks. Your solutions are convincing ones and you enjoy taking on responsibility.


This is what a Software Engineer does

  • Designing, developing and testing of new functionalities within the soft switch core;
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code and automated tests;
  • Maintaining existing code and where necessary refactoring;
  • Developing test tools for module testing and testing of external interfaces;
  • Delivering convincing solutions to translate demands into robust software;
  • Working closely together as a team to effectively address functionality challenges;
  • Producing specifications to determine operational feasibility;
  • Developing software verifications plans and quality assurance procedures;
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system;
  • Documenting and maintaining software functionality.

This is who you are

  • B.Sc. working level in computer science area
  • Affinity with telecommunications market
  • Recent object-oriented language experience
  • C++ software experience is beneficial
  • Affinity with open source and –standards
  • Team player, but self-motivated
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Agile and Scrum experience are beneficial
  • Ability to organize and prioritize processes
  • You enjoy ‘getting things done’
  • Responsible, accurate and problem-solving
